Yvette, born into a family of entrepreneurs, was destined to become the founder and creative director of her eponymous clothing line, Yvette Mandell. Her mother owned a clothing boutique and Yvette traveled with her on buying trips, assisting in all of her buys. Her father was a major department store buyer and entrepreneur and she often worked with him selling products in the stores. Always following every style and fashion trend since she was a young girl, she finally learned how to sew in junior high and her first design was a floral wrap around skirt.
With her expertise in style and fashion, Yvette knows how to make a statement and create the full fashion package.
Yvette attended the University of Southern California, finally deciding to major in Business Finance after studying engineering for her first 2 years. Upon graduating USC, she worked briefly as a financial analyst before her entrepreneurial spirit took over and she started her first jewelry company.
After many years as a jewelry entrepreneur, her passion for clothing prevailed and Yvette launched her clothing company, Yvette Mandell in 2001. The initial collection included tanks, tees and pants, which were screen printed, embroidered and embellished with her signature crown design. Her dream was to capture the essence of beauty and create comfortable apparel with attention to detail fit for a modern day princess. In 2006 she launched her children’s line with the same attention to detail.
Soon after her startup, Yvette’s designs were in demand worldwide with a strong presence in the contemporary market. Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Harrod’s , Galleries Lafayette, Fred Segal, Kitson and Disney are just a few of the hundreds of stores that Yvette Mandell has been sold.
